The Oregon men’s golf team finished the second day of competition in seventh place at the Ping/Golfweek Preview at Karsten Creek Golf Club in Stillwater, Okla. with a team score of 23-over par.
The Ducks are 15 shots off the pace set by host Oklahoma State, who are currently 8-over par in the team standings.
Playing the par 72, 7,403-yard course, Oregon junior Daniel Miernicki had a strong second day, finishing in a tie for sixth at 1-under 71 to bring his two-day score to 146.
Fellow junior Robbie Ziegler sits in a tie for 13th after the second day, and junior Eugene Wong is tied for 36th.
After shooting 4-under 68 on the day, Georgia’s Hudson Swafford currently holds the top spot on the individual leader board and is the only player in the 75-man field under par through two full days of action.
Round three begins Tuesday at 5:30 a.m. PDT.
