How/Why do you want to change the world?
Change starts within. I hope to change the world by practicing empathy daily, being vulnerable and trustworthy, and making space for anyone at my kitchen table. I also want to give everyone one of my mom’s chocolate chip cookies, because I’ve never met anyone who isn’t smiling after one of those.
What are you proud to have been involved with at University of Oregon?
I am most proud to have been a part of the campus music scene. Specifically, the Music and Concerts Team, The Music Industry Collective, and the local house show scene. Through these avenues, I’ve had the opportunity to bring in diverse artists, put on a music festival, and bring thousands of students together through music.
Who is your biggest role model and why?
Right now it’s probably Bren√© Brown. Her research and words surrounding vulnerability, empathy, and shame have drastically changed my perception of the world and how I live my life.
What are your goals after college?
I want to help create space for artists to share their stories through music whether that be virtually or physically.
Which fictional character is most like yourself?
Dustin from Stranger Things. I am a shameless nerd, I use lots of colorful language when I am nervous or excited, I bring snacks on all my adventures, and will stop at nothing to help my friends.
What is one fun fact about you?
I have been skydiving twice!
