The Ducks proved they can be a force in the Pac-10 defeating the Beavers who are ranked 3rd nationally. In a surprising result, Oregon notched their first victory in Corvallis since the baseball program was reinstated in 2009. Christian Jones pitched brilliantly for eight innings until he gave up two runs in the ninth inning. He also forced the Beavers into a season-high four double plays.
