Three Oregon women’s tennis players have been dismissed from the team “due to a violation of team rules,” the Oregon athletic department confirmed Saturday afternoon.
Freshmen Christi Woodson, Micheline Aubuchon and sophomore Kennan Johnson have been removed from the team’s roster.
Johnson, a transfer from UCF, was among the Duck’s top players this season. She held a 17-7 overall singles record and the best doubles record on the team, 11-5, with her partner Shweta Sangwan. She was ranked No. 70 in singles and No. 35 in doubles.
Woodson, a Melbourne, Florida-native, was 8-6 in singles and 10-7 in doubles overall this season. The freshman was one of just two Oregon players to go undefeated in the Long Beach State Winter Invivational.
Aubuchon, from Santa Monica, California, didn’t seen much playing time for the Ducks before her departure. The freshman was 3-9 in singles overall and 4-7 in doubles, seeing the court just twice in singles for Oregon in the spring season.
