It’s funny how being a columnist makes me think
about a lot of deep, sometimes dark issues. I often
find myself thinking about the whos and whats of
life.
For instance we’ve received so many letters about
the war and all the people for and/or against it.
Though I wrote in favor of the cause, I am saddened at
some personal stories people write into us. I may seem
cold-hearted and evil in my columns, but I cry like
others, and when I see pain and suffering I feel it,
too, but I know we must fight for those who cannot
fight for fear of persecution.
I also remember when I was the opinion editor at
the Clackamas Print and George W. Bush was just
running for president. Believe it or not, I didn’t vote
for him because I didn’t agree with most of the
stances he took. But I am glad he is standing up and
showing the world what freedom means to America and
what we hope to bring to the Iraqi people.
The thoughts are still coming but I’ll let you
dwell on this for awhile.
Still saying it loud!
