Investigative reporters work with the Emerald’s investigations team on longer-form projects and stories. These reporters are experienced with a strong understanding of ethics, and are prepared to take on challenging stories, face complex issues and work outside of a traditional weekly publication schedule.
Responsibilities include:

Working with investigations editor and other team members on pitching and crafting large-scale reporting projects.

Adhering to confidentiality and making weekly check-ins on story progress.

Keeping regular tabs on UO and Eugene community news.
- Filing public records requests.
- Attend weekly desk meetings and all-staff meetings.
