An accident involving a Lane Transit District bus occurred near Riley Hall on Patterson and 11th Avenue around 6 p.m. on Thursday evening. No one was injured.
The accident involved a car and a bus. Lt. Harrison of the Eugene Police Department said that the car was backing out of a driveway and failed to see the bus. The driver backed out in front of the bus, causing a collision.
The driver, 35-year-old Paul Johnson, was arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving and reckless endangerment. Johnson is lodged in the Lane County Jail, according to Harrison.
The scene was all clear by 9 p.m.
