– Edward Cheserek and Eric Jenkins finished 1-2 at the NCAA Cross Country Championships over the weekend in Indiana. It was Cheserek’s second consecutive NCAA title in as many years at Oregon.
– The Oregon football team improved to 10-1 on the season on Saturday. It was a special day for Oregon’s seniors, who are currently the winningest class in Duck football history.
– Both the Oregon volleyball and basketball teams played Sunday at Matthew Knight Arena. Volleyball took care of business against USC while basketball fell to North Carolina. Volleyball said goodbye to its senior class, which includes Liz Brenner, Natalie Bookout Gonzalez, Allie Rogers, Serena Warner and Shellsy Ashen.
– John Canzano of the Oregonian has a feature story about the origin of the Oregon “O” for today. Oregon and Oregon State battle on Saturday in Corvallis for the 118th time on the gridiron.
– Oregon football seniors Ifo Ekpre-Olomu and Jake Fisher accepted invitations to play in this year’s senior bowl, which takes place in January. Ekpre-Olomu and Fisher will join fellow Duck Hroniss Grassu, who has already accepted an invitation to take part of the game.
