The Ducks’ added a monumental piece to their 2024 recruiting class with 5-star defensive-line prospect and Class of 2024 recruit Aydin Breland announcing his commitment to the University. The announcement came via a live stream on the 247 sports YouTube channel. Breland currently attends Mater Dei high school in Southern California and ranks as No. 11 class of 2024 player in the nation. 

Choosing Oregon over offers from the Universities of Georgia and Miami, Breland joins the Ducks 2024 recruiting class that ranks No. 9 nationally as of Saturday afternoon. As a junior, Breland totaled 10.5 tackles-for-losses and four sacks during just 10 games. 
Breland is the Ducks’ first 5-star commit of Oregon’s recruiting class and will be bringing his talents to Eugene in 2024. “When it came to choosing a school and choosing Oregon, I feel like it really came down to the family feel that Dan, and Coach Tosh, and Coach Tony and the whole recruiting staff brings,” Breland said via the 247sports live stream. “I love the people in Eugene.”
