Oregon volleyball’s Amanda Benson earned her first career Pac-12 honor on Monday.
Benson was named the conference’s defensive player of the week after averaging 5.50 digs per set in Oregon’s 3-0 wins over Arizona State and Oregon State t0 finish the season.
She had a service ace and 13 digs against ASU and recorded 20 digs and an assist against OSU. Her mark of 20 digs against the Beavers ranks her tied for fourth among Pac-12 players in three-match sets this season.
Her award marks the first time Oregon’s won a weekly honor since Nov. 2013.
The Ducks earned an at-large bid in the NCAA Tournament on Sunday and will face the No. 6-seeded Wisconsin Badgers on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. PST in Madison.
