Lexi Petersen exploded for 19 second-half points as Oregon outscored UCLA 45-24 in the second half, picking up the 62-46 win at Pauley Pavilion on Monday night for the team’s first Pac-12 win of the season.
Oregon (8-5, 1-1) won in Los Angeles for the first time since 2012. The Bruins fall to 6-8 (1-2 Pac-12).
Petersen finished with 21 points and a career-high nine assists. Jillian Alleyne’s double-double streak ended at 21. She finished with eight points and 15 rebounds. Lexi Bando recorded 10 points while Amanda Delgado finished with eight points.
Alleyne’s consecutive double-double streak of 21 places her third all-time in the NCAA record books.
The Ducks shot 30 percent from the field compared to the Bruins’ mark of 25 percent. Oregon was 5-of-8 from three-point range and 14-of-15 from the free-throw line in the second half.
Both teams got off to a slow start. UCLA recorded the first field goal after both teams went scoreless for the first 4:23.
Katelyn Loper got the Ducks on the board first, making a three-point attempt at the 15:04 mark of the first half. A pair of field goals from Jordan Loera and Alleyne gave the Ducks the 7-5 lead with 12:57 left in the first.
At the half, the Ducks trailed 24-17. Oregon made two of its last 17 field goal attempts going into the locker room. The Ducks were just 3-of-20 from three point range. UCLA made 10-of-13 from the free throw line while Oregon did not make it to the line in the first half.
Alleyne played just eight minutes in the first half after picking up two early fouls.
Coming out of halftime, the Ducks engineered a 11-0 run to take the lead, 28-24, with 17:12 to go. Oregon continued to gel offensively, stretching the lead to 39-32 with 11:02 remaining.

The Ducks will return home to Eugene before making the short journey to Corvallis to take on the Beavers Friday, Jan. 9 at 7 p.m.
