Next man in.
It’s the only three word phrase anyone on the Ducks ever seems to utter when it comes to injuries, but have the Ducks injury woes in the secondary become so serious that that ‘next man’ is De’Anthony Thomas? An unnamed UO source told The Oregonian that yes, Oregon’s speedy running back could line up as a defensive back when the Ducks take on Stanford this Saturday.
Thomas has made a few tackles as the gunner on the Ducks’ punt team in his career and has the speed to keep up with receivers. So, it’s possible he could play at cornerback allowing Ifo Ekpre-Olomu to play safety.
Could De’Anthony Thomas be lining up on defense Saturday?
