Fresh off being ranked third in the first BCS poll, the Ducks hit the road Thursday for just the second time this year to play the Sun Devlis in Tempe.
It’s the 33rd meeting between the two teams, and the winner of this game will claim the all-time edge: The series is tied at 16.
Both Oregon and Arizona State lead their respective sides of the Pac-12, and the only tally in either teams’ loss column is Arizona State’s 24-20 loss to Missouri on Sept. 15.
Marshall vs. Marshall. For likely the only time in their collegiate careers, brothers Cameron and Byron Marshall will share the same field. Cameron, the Sun Devils’ senior running back, needs just one rushing touchdown to claim sole possession of second place on ASU’s all-time.
Fellow running back Byron, a true freshman for the Ducks, may only see playing time in the event of a rout. He’s not listed on the two-deep today and has seen limited action in his first year.
Kickoff is just one hour away, and the game will be televised on ESPN.
