Analog Barbershop owner and barber Don Rich@@http://a610a25.activerain.com/post/3414204/get-15-haircuts-until-the-end-of-the-world-in-downtown-eugene-oregon@@ has been cutting hair since 1999 after learning the trade firsthand at Tonsorial Parlor@@http://www.google.com/search?q=Tonsoril+Parlor&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a#about:blank@@ in downtown Portland. Analog Barbershop advertises a $15 haircut special “until the end of the world,” a tongue-in-cheek reference conceived by its sister location in Astoria days before the Japanese tsunami emergency warning in 2011. Analog’s low prices, combined with a complimentary PBR with each haircut, have helped Rich develop a strong, localized customer base in the Eugene area.
The shop’s clientele skews toward University of Oregon students, younger males looking for the retro “hi-top fade” clipper haircuts, and middle-age business professionals seeking to take a few years off their appearance with a clean trim. On October 15th, Analog Barbershop will celebrate its one year anniversary in Eugene.
