After grabbing their first win against Fresno State on a dramatic tip-in game winner by freshman Jillian Alleyne, the Ducks improved to 1-8 on the season. Tonight the Ducks will be hosting the Samford Bulldogs (5-3) at Matthew Knight Arena in what will be another test for this injury plagued Ducks team. This will be the first meeting between the two schools and should pose as an interesting matchup.
Samford is recently coming off a loss to Tennessee Tech and will be looking to grab a win off the struggling Ducks as the two teams try and find themselves before heading into conference play. Alleyne, who is coming off an impressive 23 points performance against Fresno State, will once again try and carry the load on both ends of the court as the Ducks try and build some momentum before beginning Pac-12 play.
The Ducks are expected to return volleyball star Liz Brenner in time for their New Years Eve tilt against the University of Connecticut, but until then, the Ducks will have to make due with who they have.
Tip off is set for 7 p.m.
