Oregon slipped a little today, falling into second place at the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational in Seattle, Wash., with a team score of 608 after shooting a 309 for the day. The Ducks are currently two strokes behind tournament-leading Stanford (606) with its 32-over-par score. Monika Graf, who yesterday was tied for second place with teammate Kendra Little for an individual score of 1-over, leads the Ducks with a plus-7 after shooting a 78 today. Kendra Little dropped to 13th individually, tied with teammates Erica Omlid and Felicia Eastick.
Stanford’s Mari Chun helped the Cardinal greatly with her impressive day two, shooting 1-under for the day and sitting at 2-over for the tournament. She is second among individual scorers, with Long Beach State’s Kay Hoey notching the top score of 1-over for the tournament.
Oregon will try to regain the lead tomorrow, as Kate Hildahl is first to tee off for the Ducks at 9:30 a.m. Two strokes is not the largest deficit to overcome in team play; yesterday, Stanford overcame a four-stroke lead from Oregon, so it should be a solid match tomorrow with Oregon looking to bounce back.
Monika Graf will play the final tee time at 10:02 a.m., and she will look to build on an already solid performance during the last day at the tournament.
