The colorful and imaginative work of Texas cartoonist Ryan Thies will go on display at the Museum of Unfine Art this Friday to coincide with the First Friday ArtWalk. “Fingies N Things” is a 2-D exhibit that features a “smorgasbord of abstracted appendages, things covered with hair stubble and toilets.”
Thies will be on-hand at the opening reception, tomorrow from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., to answer questions and talk about his work.
He will also be giving away copies of his art ‘zine “Thought Nog” and free juice boxes (with bendable straws, of course.)
This month’s ArtWalk will highlight the sculptural work of Weltzin Blix, Kenge Kobayashi, Peter Helzer, James Carpenter and Betsy Wolfston, with opening remarks by Mayor Kitty Piercy.
Wolfston will also host the walk this Friday.
