Oregon’s football season officially begins today.
After all players were required to return to Eugene on Saturday and Sunday, Oregon will host its annual Media Day at the Casanova Center today.
The Ducks’ first official day of practice will be split into two sessions, running from approximately noon-2:15 p.m. and 4:15-6:30.
Oregon finished 2007 with a 9-4 record and a win over South Florida in the Sun Bowl in El Paso, Texas. Position battles at quarterback, running back, wide receiver and the defensive line will be some of the most notable in the run-up to the first game of the season against Washington on Aug. 30.
Oregon entered the first USA Today coaches poll at No. 20 last week.
