With the sun finally peeking out from behind the clouds, it’s nice to spend spring days outdoors, and that’s especially true when looking for a casual place to eat lunch with friends. Thank goodness for Chapala Mexican Restaurant, its wonderful outdoor patio and incredible food.
At Chapala, located at 136 Oakway Center, the patio looks out on the quaint Heritage Courtyard shared by other stores and restaurants in the Oakway Center, including Hallmark Gold Crown, Oakway Wine & Deli and Cold Stone Creamery. Chapala has the best seats in the house that look out on the beautiful flowers that pepper the open courtyard. On sunny days, be sure to bring a pair of sunglasses to really enjoy the view.
But Chapala’s patio is just icing on the cake. The food is what really matters, and Chapala does not disappoint. Like any good Mexican restaurant, Chapala provides fresh chips and salsa to all diners while they decide what to order. The salsa is delicious – sometimes spicy, sometimes not so spicy – and the chips are usually warm. But be careful; it’s easy to overdo it on the chips and be full by the time a meal arrives.
