The Student Senate convened Wednesday to discuss the upcoming campaign against unclassy fan behavior, release $105 for a math club peer-advising event and vote in a new member.
The Athletic Department Finance Committee announced its plan to meet with the Allen Hall Advertising group next week and begin a campaign targeting unclassy fan behavior at sporting events.
The Math Club will hold a peer-advising open house on Jan. 19 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. in 107 Deady.
“If you have any questions about math requirements, it’s the place to be,” Math Club representative Dynee Putnam said.
The Senate approved Toby Piering, a senior political science major, to fill Senate Seat 9. Senate President Stephanie Erickson said
Piering was the most qualified applicant, given his four years of experience in student government.
Also, ASUO Vice President Kyla Coy encouraged senators to donate books for a global literacy drive that will send used textbooks to African educational institutions. Book bins are located outside the ASUO office in the EMU. The drive goes until next week.
