In the nine-team field at the USF-Richmond Country Club Invitational, the University of Oregon women’s golf team is tied for third place after shooting a 308 in the first round. The team’s score puts them only three strokes behind leader Texas Tech.
Cathryn Bristow shot a four-over par 75 and is currently tied for fifth place. Kendra Little and Kate Hildahl are tied for 10th after they both shot a five-over 76. Erica Omlid and Blair Ressler are tied for 34th and 39th places, respectively, with 10-over and 11-over pars after the first day of competition.
The 45th-ranked Ducks finish up the tournament Tuesday on the par-71 course.
