For the third time in three years and the fourth time in school history, the Oregon Ducks will host ESPN College GameDay.
The host quartet of Chris Fowler, Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit and Desmond Howard will be in Eugene to broadcast ESPN’s college football pregame show from 7 to 9 a.m.,
before the No. 10 Ducks’ 5 p.m. contest against No. 4 USC.
The game will be televised on either ABC or ESPN2.
Eugene last saw College GameDay come to town on Nov. 3, 2007, when the fourth-ranked Ducks beat No. 6 Arizona State 35-23 and moved up to No. 2 in the nation in the polls the following day. The 2007 season also saw the GameDay crew for the Ducks’ Sept. 29 showdown against California, a 31-24 loss most notable for Cameron Colvin’s fumble out of the end zone on the possible game-tying touchdown drive.
Full details about the set location will be released later this week, but College GameDay’s two shows from 2007 were both set in Alton Baker Park, directly across from the south entrance to Autzen Stadium.
