— Oregon softball begins its quest for a deep postseason run on Friday. The Ducks face Fordham at Jane Sanders Stadium for their opening game of the NCAA Tournament. First pitch is set for 8:30 p.m. with the game also televised on ESPN2.
— Oregon women’s golf is looking forward to playing on its home course, Eugene Country Club, starting on Friday in the NCAA Championships. The course will host 24 teams in the five-day event. A champion will be crowned on May 25.
“So, to finally know that it was official, that we were playing here at Eugene Country Club next week, was such a surreal feeling for me and my team,” junior Cathleen Santoso said.

— On Thursday, Oregon softball won four of five Pac-12 season awards, including Cheridan Hawkins (pitcher of the year), Janelle Lindvall (defensive player of the year) and Megan Kleist (co-freshman of the year). Oregon’s Mike White was voted coach of the year.
— Oregon baseball is clinging to the possibility of a postseason berth, which would likely come only if the Ducks win the Pac-12 this season. The average number of wins for a Power Five conference team in the NCAA Tournament over the two last seasons is 36. The Ducks can win a maximum of 33 games this season if they win out. Arizona (32-18, 15-12) will visit PK Park this weekend for a three-game series beginning Friday night.
— Ryan Thorburn of the Register-Guard wrote about how Jenna Lilley returned from a “sophomore scare,” when she was hit by a pitch earlier this season. Lilley found the bright side in the injury, calling it a “chance to reset” midseason.
— Oregon track and field raked in the Pac-12’s yearly awards on Wednesday afternoon. Hannah Cunliffe and Devon Allen swept the men’s and women’s athlete of the year honors.
