With college football just around the corner, the Associated Press has released its preseason top 25 teams in the country, with Oregon coming in at No. 24. Reigning National Champion Alabama comes in at No.1 on this list, as they added the top recruiting class in the nation to an already incredibly talented returning core.
Oregon is one of four Pac-12 teams represented in the poll but are also the lowest ranked team in the conference. Stanford (8), Washington (14), UCLA (16), and USC (20) are all positioned above the Ducks with two weeks left before the season kicks off.
Oregon went 9-4 last year, finishing at No.19 in the AP Poll following their loss to TCU in the Alamo Bowl. The AP preseason poll last year saw Oregon at No. 7 before dropping out of the top 25 following losses to Michigan State and a blowout loss to Utah. Oregon fought their way back in to the top 25 but never got higher than No.15.
