On Feb. 6, both Syria and Turkey were hit with a 7.8 magnitude earthquake. This natural disaster was devastating for Southeast Turkish and Northwest Syrian communities as both countries suffered a dramatic loss of life. The international community needs to practice patience as this situation will take some time before normalcy is returned.
