Following the 2024 presidential election, University of Oregon Assistant Director of Fraternity and Sorority Life Leonard Serrato took his thoughts to his public social media page about newly re-elected President Donald Trump.
In an Instagram story, Serrato said to followers, which included some UO students, to “go f— yourself if you voted for Donald Trump.”
Serrato also described Trump voters as “stupid” and that he doesn’t “care” if any life-long friends disagreed with him.
“If you are sad about your groceries being expensive, get a better f—ing paying job. Do better in life,” Serrato said. “Get a f—ing education. Do something, cause you’re f—ing stupid.”
Serrato concluded his story, saying “I hope you go jump off of a f—ing bridge,” with a peace sign.
Serrato later posted an Instagram Reel where he was discussing the results of the presidential election. He addressed his students, including of “color” and “LGBTQIA” and said to “take care of yourself and know that you have my support.”
Following the post, Serrato made his Instagram account private.
Eric Howald, a UO spokesperson, said that the “university is currently collecting more information about the situation.”
“At this time, it appears that the individual made the post on their own time, which is well within their rights,” Howald said.
Serrato declined to comment on this story.

He needs to be fired immediately. He is a very poor role model for students and if I had a child there I would remove them immediately. No administrative leave. There is no defense. A video does not lie and the whole world has now seen it and heard it.

I am a disabled veteran US Army how dare you tell me to get an education or a better job. Less than one percent serve in the military, so that you have your rights to spew hatred on a social media rant. Oregon State you should be ashamed of this but protect him. Maybe next time you speak hatred ask yourself did you put your life on the line for your country. What a joke you are.

He should be fired. This doesn’t represent University of Oregon Alumni. This guy is unhinged. Class of 91.

This man was responsible for the death of a college student at Fresno State in a hazing death. He spent time in jail.

After viewing this on Newsmax and seeing all the attention its getting, I’m hoping he gets fired from his job. No professionalism at all. If I was a parent I would not want this guy anywhere near my child. Fire him! He will never get another job again. Just another WOKE individual who has lost his mind.

That Leo is even around a single college student shows how little the university cares about it’s students. This man should be nowhere near any students, his advice is terrible and his prior treatment of a fellow student was equally terrible.
If there’s anybody who’s a POS, it’s Leo.
