It’s National Early Signing Day and the Ducks are set to make a splash in the recruiting pond! Follow along here for the latest updates on Oregon’s future! Be sure to also check out our defensive tracker!
Dakorien Moore – 5★ Wide Receiver, Duncanville HS (Duncanville, Texas)
The second-highest recruit in school history, five-star wide receiver Dakorien Moore has signed with the Ducks. Moore is the 247sports No. 8 ranked player in the class and the highest ranked wide receiver. The five-foot-eleven Moore tallied 1,303 yards and 15 touchdowns over his senior season and posted an impressive 249-yard, 4-touchdown performance against nationally-ranked DeSoto High School.
Moore shut down his commitment early last month, announcing his desire to “choose the path to be different and build a legacy.” He will likely be a plug-and-play starter as a true freshman with the likely departures of the Ducks’ top pass catchers.
Dallas Wilson – 5★ Wide Receiver, Tampa Bay Tech HS (Tampa, Florida)
Wilson first committed to play for Oregon almost two years ago, but that didn’t stop the other premier programs in the nation from trying to poach the fourth-ranked receiver by 247sports. Wilson was named the third-ranked player from his home state of Florida, and drew heavy interest from Miami and Florida in recent months.
However, Wilson made his pledge to the Ducks official on Wednesday. A 6’3” 195 lbs athlete, Wilson is able to beat guys with his elite speed, but also has the ability to go up and moss defenders with his ability to jump. Wilson should be a plug-and-play receiver due to the overturn in that room and his easily translatable talent as a top-5 receiver in this class.
Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele — 4★ Quarterback, James Campbell HS (Ewa Beach, HI)
Sagapoutele, the nation’s eighth-ranked quarterback per 247Sports, was another of Oregon’s draft-day flips in the early morning. He was committed to former Pac-12 rival Cal, but after rumors of his interest in the Ducks began circulating in the weeks before Signing Day, Oregon head coach Dan Lanning and his staff secured Hawaii’s No. 1 player. Sagapoutele picked Oregon over the Bears and a late offer from Georgia.
The four-star quarterback checks in at 6’3 and 210 pounds. He’ll join an already talented room: Redshirt freshman Dante Moore is expected to start in 2025, but Austin Novosad and Luke Moga are both still in Eugene.
Dierre Hill – 4★ Running back, Althoff Catholic High School (Belleville, IL)
Hill is ranked by 247sports as the 13th best running back in the 2025 class, and is the sixth best player in Illinois according to the site. Hill is one of many recruits coming to Oregon in the coming years that have prestigious backgrounds in track and field. The 180 lbs running back posted a 11.04 second 100m and a 22.67 second 200m as a junior. In that same year, Hill tallied 1,788 rushing yards and 25 touchdowns on 13.6 yards a carry.
While he is playing offense for Oregon, Hill’s elite athleticism also allowed him to return two kicks for touchdowns and, as a cornerback, intercepted three passes, of which one was a pick-6. Hill joins Jordon Davison in the Ducks’ stacked backfield entering the program next season, and it’s likely we’ll see the two of them as a duo in the future.
Akili Smith Jr. – 4★ Quarterback, Lincoln Senior HS (San Diego, CA)
For the first time since 1998, an Akili Smith will play quarterback for the Ducks. Akili Smith Jr., son of Oregon great Akili Smith Sr., officially signed with the Ducks on Wednesday. Smith Jr., a four-star quarterback from San Diego’s Lincoln Senior High School, is ranked by 247Sports Composite as the nation’s No. 17 quarterback and the state of California’s No. 17 overall player.
Smith Jr. will have big shoes to fill in Eugene. His father, Smith Sr., played quarterback for the Ducks for the 1997 and ‘98 seasons. As a senior in 1998, Smith Sr. totalled 3,763 passing yards and 32 passing touchdowns, leading the Ducks to an 8-4 record and a berth in the Aloha Bowl. He was drafted third overall by the Cincinnati Bengals in 1999, making him the highest-drafted Duck since Hall of Fame guard Gary Zimmerman went third overall to the Giants in 1984.
Vander Ploog – 4★ Tight End, Troy HS (Fullerton, CA)
Four-star tight end Vander Ploog has committed to join a talented Ducks’ offense. Ploog, who flipped his commitment on Nov, 10 from the University of Washington, projects as a quality pass catcher and contributor in the run blocking game. The 6-foot-6, 223 pound Ploog could also fill in on special teams similar to now-freshman tight end Roger Saleapaga — one of two Ducks to appear in all eleven games as a freshman. Ploog, who was offered a scholarship in late August, was on campus for the Ducks’ Week 14 dismantling of Washington — a contest that likely made his signing-day decision that much easier.
Cooper Perry – 4★ Wide Receiver, Notre Dame Preparatory HS (Scottsdale, AZ)
Cooper Perry is another acquisition in what is quickly becoming one of Oregon’s all-time best receiving classes. Though Perry’s four-star ranking puts his hype a level below that of Dakorien Moore or Dallas Wilson, Perry’s blend of quickness and strength has made him a versatile and dangerous weapon in Scottsdale.
Perry, who stands six-foot-one and 190 pounds, eclipsed 70 receptions, 1,100 receiving yards and 18 touchdowns in both his sophomore and junior seasons. He’s now officially an Oregon Duck. Perry’s enticing blend of strength and quickness makes him an ideal fit in Oregon’s West Coast-style offense.
Ziyare Addison – 4★ Offensive Tackle, Carrollwood Day HS (Tampa Bay, FL)
The Ducks’ offensive line gets stronger with the addition of Addison, a six-foot-five, 290-pound beast from the Sunshine State.
In the class of 2025, Addison is the 14th-highest ranked tackle in the country and the 13th-highest ranked player in Florida according to 247Sports. He’ll fit right into Dan Lanning’s trickery as he has a rushing touchdown to his name from 2023.
Addison will head to Eugene after choosing the Duck life from a stout list of offers that included Alabama, Georgia, UCLA and Florida.
Douglas Utu- 4★ Offensive Guard, Bishop Gorman HS (Las Vegas, NV)
While the wide receivers and secondary may make the splashiest players, Dan Lanning’s team’s are always built in the trenches. Douglas Utu, a four-star offensive guard, will only help continue that trend by signing with the Ducks.
Utu will arrive in Eugene as one of the Ducks’ most game-ready freshman as he was a four-year starter at one of the nation’s best high school programs. Utu was selected as a Polynesian Bowl nominee and has been a contributor at both offensive guard and tackle. Utu committed to the Ducks in late September after decommitting from the Tennessee Volunteers. The six-foot-four, 317 pound Utu is the No. 9 interior offensive lineman nationally and the No. 3 player in the state of Nevada.
Zac Stascausky 4★ Offensive Tackle, Central Catholic (Portland, OR)
Although able to dip into recruiting throughout the country, Dan Lanning will be happy to see the state of Oregon’s best players play in green and yellow. Zac Stascausky, the No.1 player in the state of Oregon, and the No.19 offensive tackle in the nation, has signed with the Ducks.
Stascausky decommitted from the University of Washington just days ago, immediately flipping to Lanning and the Ducks. Stascausky will look to fill out his six-foot-six, 275 pound frame before joining a Ducks’ offensive line that is routinely one of the best in the country.
Jordon Davison 4★ Running Back, Mater Dei High School (Santa Ana, CA)
Another addition to the Ducks’ ever-growing Southern California pipeline, four-star running back Jordon Davison has signed with Oregon . Davison, who rushed for 17 touchdowns on 7.1 yards-per-carry, is the No.16 ranked running back nationally.
Davison’s best college comparison going forward might very well be current Oregon running back Jordan James. Davison projects as a physical between the tackles runner who can bounce off tackles with ease. The lone running back in the class, Davison may have a chance for carries in 2025 with the departures of James and Noah Whittington.
Demetri Manning- 4★ Offensive Lineman, Bellevue HS (Bellevue, WA)
Another addition to a remarkable offensive line class, Demetri Manning has signed with Oregon. Manning, who will arrive in Eugene as a remarkable six-foot-six 336 pound force in the trenches, is known for his size and athleticism and has played both on the interior offensive line and at tackle. Committed to Dan Lanning and the Ducks since June, Manning is the No.2 player in the state of Washington and the No. 24 ranked interior offensive lineman overall. Manning had interest from other West Coast teams such as Washington and Arizona State, but ultimately committed — and now signed — with Oregon.
