NFL coaches and team officials flooded Moshofsky Center to scout several Oregon Ducks competing to raise their draft stock. Many Oregon players improved upon their NFL Combine scores, like tight end David Paulson (who improved in almost every category), but all eyes fell to running back LaMichael James and even more to previously ousted cornerback Cliff Harris. James, who ran a 4.45 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis, ran a blistering 4.41 on Thursday and showcased his receiving and route-running skills.
Harris told reporters he had put 20 to 25 pounds on to his frame and somewhat struggled to stay on his feet for portions of the shuttle drills, and at one point had to take a step outside where he vomited. Quarterback Darron Thomas was also in attendance, showcasing his passing ability by throwing to James, Paulson and receiver Lavasier Tuinei.
