Carnivores and vegans rejoice! Both can enjoy a delicious Yumm! bowl at Cafe Yumm. This restaurant has four locations in Eugene, with the closest to campus located at the intersection of Franklin and Hilyard.
Cafe Yumm specializes in serving fresh ingredients in a classy and relaxed environment. It’s a great place to take your family, friends or a date.
Using rice and beans as a base, the restaurant builds a bowl of savory toppings and pours on its delicious, trademarked Yumm! Sauce. A variety of Yumm! Bowls are available, including Jazzy, Hot ‘n’ Jazzy, Edamame and the Original.@@http://www.cafeyumm.com/menu.html@@
Besides the Yumm bowls, you can buy sandwiches, wraps, salads and some tasty desserts.
University junior and economics major Alex Sonnichsen goes to Cafe Yumm! whenever he can.@@http://uoregon.edu/findpeople/person/Alex*Sonnichsen@@
“My favorite thing to eat there is the Tempeh Reuben, though I love the Edamame as well,” Sonnichsen said. “It has a very chill atmosphere where I can go study and eat, and it’s not too far off campus so I can walk there in just a few.”
Cafe Yumm’s one downside is that the food may be considered a little expensive compared with other restaurants near campus. But the ambiance, vegan and vegetarian options, fresh ingredients and respectable service make up for the price difference.
