With finals week quickly approaching, many of us are preparing for long hours of cramming a term’s worth of information in our heads. And for those who live in large communal homes, seeking a good study spot with so many people living in such a small space can be hard to do without a rainy walk to the library; however, these fraternity and sorority members see a trek to the library unnecessary, finding their favorite spots around their chapter houses.

“I’d have to say my favorite study spot is my room. The Internet in there is really good, so I never have problems with it when I do online assignments. And I know a couple people sneak into the treasurer’s office to do homework and study.”

“I love looking out the window of our study porch. It also keeps me motivated knowing that my sisters are nearby and studying as well. A weird place that I like to study in is the TV room, because it is usually warm in there and during the day not a lot of people are in there watching TV.”

“Definitely the dining room because there are less things to distract me. Think about it. Mostly everyone upstairs isn’t studying, and sometimes you just need to study not around people doing fun things.”

“I’d say the dining room, too! We have quiet hours in there for girls to study so it’s a good, quiet place to get some studying in.”

“Easy: in the study room on the first floor. It’s very quiet and easy to get help from other people if you are having problems.”

“My favorite room to study is the study room on the third floor. The desks and chairs may not be of the highest quality, but it’s just a cozy little room. As rowdy as most college guys are, they know not to be noisy around the study room so I really appreciate the quiet environment.”

“My favorite study spot is our library. We have it set up so you can sit down, focus and really get everything done without many distractions.”
