The Ducks women’s tennis team saw its ITA regionals run end with all four of the Ducks’ singles players falling in the consolation round of 64. Julia Metzger, Patricia Skowronski and Lena Macomson@@http://www.registerguard.com/web/news/sevendays/28921030-47/oregon-saturday-game-northwest-ncu.html.csp?print=true@@ each lost in straight sets while Lana Buttner won her first set before dropping the next two. Oregon’s lone doubles entry of Metzger and Pascale Neubert had a slightly better outing, advancing as far as the consolation round of 16 before losing a close match to a duo from San Jose State.
On the men’s side, the Ducks doubles team of Jeff Mullen and Robin Cambier cruised to an 8-2 win in the round of sixteen and will compete in the quarterfinals Monday morning.

The second set of BCS standings was released last night and the Ducks dropped from third to fourth despite throttling Arizona State on Thursday night. Alabama and Florida remained in first and second, respectively, while Kansas State leapfrogged the Ducks for third and Notre Dame remained in fifth. Oregon State and USC also appeared in the top ten giving the Pac-12 three teams in the top ten.

The Cowboys blew a 10-point halftime lead and Christensen went on an expletive-laden rant accusing Air Force of faking injuries and having no integrity or ethics.

The Ducks have played their share of night games — or more than their share, depending on who you ask — but the November 3rd showdown with USC won’t be one of them. The Ducks and Trojans will kick off at 4 p.m. on FOX.
