The Emerald Family Down Syndrome Network is holding its 6th annual “Buddy Walk” Saturday and The Duck will be a guest of honor.
The Walk is meant to celebrate the lives of people with Down syndrome and bring awareness to the public. In addition to The Duck, there will be guest speakers.
The Emerald Family Down Syndrome Network is a community of families in the Eugene area that know someone with Down syndrome. The Network sponsors different events around the city to promote Down syndrome awareness.
Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. with events starting at 10:30 a.m. at the Amazon Community Center. Pledge forms are being circulated throughout town and a $10 individual or $30 family donation is suggested. The proceeds benefit the Emerald Family Down Syndrome Network’s programs and events as well as national Buddy Walk events.
