Video: Bryan Clay discusses finishing decathlon after stumbling in first two events of day two

Asics decathlete Bryan Clay, ending Friday in third, hit a snag Saturday when he was quickly disqualified in the men’s 110-meter hurdles and then not scoring a point in the discus. He still continued competing for the rest of the day, finishing a decathlon with more points than four athletes who competed all events.

Oregon volleyball setter August Raskie shines both on and off the court for her athletic prowess and her artistic sense of creativity that makes her who she is. Cascades Raptor Center trainer Carrie Lorenz brings Taka, a Swainson’s Hawk, out of their enclosure. Taka was taken into human care as an adult at UC Davis’s Veterinary School’s Raptor Center back in 2001. Taka came to the Cascades Raptor Center in April of 2003, joining their ambassador team.
