Hillary’s hope amounts to an impossible dream. She is hiding her disappointment by relying on the remaining superdelegates who she feels will be enough to defeat Obama. But you and I know it isn’t going to happen. Each day another of the undeclared superdelegates endorses Obama. The Oregon primary on May 20 will be significant because it will permit Obama to announce with conviction that he truly will be the nominee of the Democratic Party. Loyalty to the Clinton house is being eroded by the reality of the situation. Clinton’s faithful are deserting Hillary’s cause rather than go down with the ship. Oregonians should vote to prove once and for all that Obama’s mission is accomplished, and to convince Hillary of that fateful truth. The handwriting was on the wall, actually, when Indiana’s primary was over. It could be seen on the face of her husband Bill as Hillary claimed her hollow victory in Indiana. Oregon’s tally will reaffirm Obama’s win, after which he is expected to declare victory, and Hillary to admit she has lost her desire to be president.
