Chris Carnahan shot 7-under over the final two rounds to tie for eighth at the Prestige at Palm Desert golf tournament Tuesday at the 7,056-yard, par-72 Desert Willow course in Palm Desert, Calif. The Ducks finished 12th in the event.
Carnahan was 6-under for the tournament and tied for eighth with UC Davis’ Jason Boyd. The junior from Albany had rounds of 73-67-70 for a 210 composite. It was Carnahan’s best finish since placing second at the Northwest Collegiate Classic in September.
Senior Aaron Byers tied for 30th
at 216.
Washington won the tournament at 844, with round of 280-284 Tuesday. Kansas and Colorado tied for second at 849. Oregon had rounds of 288-291 Tuesday and finished 12th at 871, two strokes behind Stanford.
