A 58-year-old woman was arrested Thursday night in the EMU after Department of Public Safety officers found her partially naked and apparently intoxicated in a restricted storage area, police said.
Eugene Police Department officers arrested Janet Rene Walton of Blachly around 11:30 p.m. for criminal trespassing and took her to Lane County Jail because Walton did not identify anyone to pick her up, EPD spokeswoman Pam Olshanski said.
Walton was found wearing “a pair of panties and a bra-type top,” Olshanski said. Police retrieved Walton’s clothing before taking her to jail.
Although there are no laws in Eugene against being intoxicated in public or against wearing underwear in public, Walton was arrested for being in a restricted area on private property, Olshanski said.
Walton was released from jail Friday.
