Community members took a step back from the digital era Saturday, displaying and discussing the preservation of home movies shot on 8 mm, Super 8 and 16 mm film in the Knight library basement.
The University Libraries, which locally hosted the international event known as Home Movies Day, provided Eugene residents with access to film experts and archivists.
Lectures included a discussion talk about the trends of home movie making and an evening screening of “found footage” of older film formats at the Indigo District.
