Friday
Noon: Stop at the Family Weekend Welcome Table to pick up your pre-ordered football game ticket. The table is located at the west entrance of the EMU, 1222 E. 13th St., and will be staffed noon to 5 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday. The Welcome Table also will offer information about Homecoming Weekend events.
2 p.m.: University archivist Susan Storch will offer a tour of the Archives and Special Collections at the Knight Library at 1501 Kincaid St. The presentation will offer a look at University traditions and memorabilia.
2 p.m.: 40th reunions for the classes of 1959, 1960 and 1961 and the 35th reunions for the classes of 1964, 1965 and 1966 will begin with registration from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Valley River Inn, 1000 Valley River Way.
3:30 p.m.: Exercise physiologist Gary Klug and biomechanics researcher Li-Shan Chou will give a presentation in the Alumni Lounge at Gerlinger Hall, 1468 University St.
6 p.m.: A no-host reception at the Valley River Inn, overlooking the Willamette River, will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. for the reunion classes listed above.
8 p.m.: A free homecoming concert is scheduled in the Beall Concert Hall at East 18th Avenue. Featured will be four of the University School of Music’s top ensembles ÐÐ the Oregon Jazz ensemble, the University Symphony, the University Singers and the Oregon Wind Ensemble.
8:30 p.m.: “Twilight on the Delta” is the theme of the University’s Homecoming Ball, organized and hosted by the Student Alumni Association. The event takes place at the EMU Ballroom. Tickets are available for $10 at The Break, located on the ground floor of the EMU.
Saturday
8:30 a.m.: Early birds can get a close-up view of the botanical campus during a tour hosted by University landscape designer Jane Brubaker. The one hour tour will begin at the Museum of Natural History at 1680 E. 15th Ave. near the Knight Law Center. After a rest stop and coffee break, tour participants can opt for the second leg of the tour or a free workout at the Student Recreation and Fitness Center at 1202 E. 15th Ave.
10 a.m.: A campus tour hosted by Student Ambassadors will showcase campus buildings and begins at Oregon Hall, 1585 E. 13th Ave.
10 a.m.: The Family Weekend Welcome Table is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to pick up pre-ordered football tickets and other information about homecoming weekend.
11:30 a.m.: A tour of Duck Vision, the facility that provides big-screen replays to football fans inside Autzen Stadium, will depart from the Knight Library, 1501 Kincaid St. The tour is hosted by 1986 University alumnus Mike Boring of Chambers Communication. The tour requires pre-registration with the University Alumni Association.
2:30 p.m.: A tailgate banquet for alumni attending their 35- and 40-year reunions will be held from 2:30 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Valley River Inn. Class photos will be taken and advance reservations for the no-host reception are required.
4 p.m.: An all-alumni tailgate party and Homecoming Expo begin at Autzen Stadium. At the Expo, fans can have their photos taken with the Oregon Duck mascot and browse through exhibits showcasing schools, colleges and programs.
4 p.m.: Moshofsky Sports Center, 2735 Leo Harris Parkway. The pre-game excitement is open to Duck fans with game tickets. Fans can purchase food and drinks, hear music and view big plays from past Duck games on big-screen TVs.
7:15 p.m.: GAME TIME. The undefeated Ducks take on the Arizona Wildcats.
7:15 p.m.: Game time for those without tickets. Catch the football action on the big-screen TV at The Break.
Sunday
10 a.m.: President Dave Frohnmayer will host a breakfast at the EMU Ballroom from 10 a.m. until noon. The event will give families an opportunity to talk to the president, ask questions and discuss life at the University. The cost is $15 a person and advance reservations are required.
