Oregon has won seven of its last eight games after beating Le Moyne 17-11 in Syracuse, N.Y. on Saturday.
The win tied the current Oregon team (8-3) with last season’s squad for the best start through 11 games.
The Ducks continued their winning streak in the past two weeks by beating Johns Hopkins 12-10 on March 15 and Colgate on March 21 at home.
The Ducks went on the road to Providence, R.I., to beat Brown 10-9 on March 24 before snapping their six-game winning streak in a 6-5 loss to Delaware two days later.
Oregon beat Le Moyne (4-6) behind five points apiece by senior Ilsa van den Berg and freshman Jana Drummond.
Van den Berg’s points all came on goals, while Drummond recorded two goals and three assists, two of which went to van den Berg’s goals.
It was the second straight loss to the Ducks by the Dolphins, who had dual hat tricks from Mia Valetta and Nerissa Barzee but fell behind 9-4 at the half and were outscored 8-7 in the second half.
Le Moyne led 2-0 after quick goals by Katlin Walker and Rebekah Elmer to start the game, until Oregon scored five straight goals – three by van den Berg – within a span of nearly nine minutes.
Freshman Catherine Davidson scored during that stretch for UO, one of her three goals.
Le Moyne committed 19 turnovers to Oregon’s 12.
Oregon’s next game is Saturday against Denver in Colorado.
