Undrafted in last weekend’s NFL Draft, former Oregon players Mark Lewis, Jaison Williams and Jeremiah Johnson were signed as free agents Monday.
Lewis, an offensive lineman who played guard and center last spring, has been signed by the Miami Dolphins and has been told he could play at both positions, according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel newspaper.
Williams, who signed with 12 other undrafted free agents Monday with the Washington Redskins, was a near-record holder in every major receiving category at Oregon. The 6-foot-5, 230 pound receiver finished his career with 174 catches for 2,546 yards and 21 touchdowns.
The Houston Texans signed running back Jeremiah Johnson. Johnson ran for 1,201 yards and 13 touchdowns last year, both career highs in his first year as the featured back at Oregon. His size, 5-foot-9 and 209 pounds, and knee injury two seasons ago likely kept him from being drafted.
