Either by error, or intentionally, the Oregon Daily Emerald has done very little to inform you about the Greenway permits needed for the proposed Casanova Center expansion. There are many complicated issues surrounding the permits that could be better described to this community in a timely fashion. There is a unique history to the Greenway regulations — they are an asset. The Greenway permits are being challenged for a wide variety of reasons.
How about getting some student reporter to get a little more serious over there and send them downtown to the Atrium building to inform the public about this $100 million proposal by Phit LLC? What does the recently released rebuttal from the athletic department’s legal representation say? Last time the Casanova Center was altered, we lost the University’s wrestling program.
