The No. 31 Oregon women’s golf team performed well at the Juli Inkster Spartan Invitational in San Jose, Calif., which concluded Monday afternoon.
The Ducks placed third out of the 12-team field with a three-day total of 904, trailing team champion No. 9 California by 23 strokes and runner-up No. 22 UC Davis by five.
Oregon’s third round team total of 300 was its best of three rounds after shooting 302 in each of the first two, to finish the event 12 over par.
Individually, senior Kendra Little paced the Ducks after carding a three-round score of 220, including the tournament’s best individual final round where she shot a 3-under-par 69.
She trailed California duo Emily Childs (216) and Joanne Lee (217), who finished first and second, respectively, while Washington’s Anya Alvarez (219) came in third.
Sophomore Cheyenne Hickle was Oregon’s second-leading placer, ending in a tie for 12th after shooting a 2-over-par 74 in the last round.
Erica Omlid (t-19th), Avery Sills (t-22nd), and Raphaeala Dyer (t-33rd) rounded out the Oregon placers.
The Ducks return to action when they travel south to the Battle at Rancho Bernardo on March 20.
