With an unpredictable economy, it has been harder than ever to obtain a job. The journalism field is no exception. Social media is rapidly changing a field that was once static and other new technologies are opening door after door. To keep up, journalism schools across the nation are doing their best to prepare students for an uncertain career. As shared in the above video, the University of Oregon’s School of Journalism and Communication has taken such steps, disposing of outdated courses and making other changes to meet the needs of today’s media.
