There has been a lot going on over the past few hours on Twitter, with mentions of the Oregon athletic department releasing a series of records requested by The Oregonian, among other media outlets, at 9 a.m. this morning.
From what I’ve seen so far, they’ve put Oregon’s relationship with Willie Lyles into some better perspective, at the very least given us a little more background on the guy.
You can read more about Lyles and his involvement with Lache Seastrunk here.
The Oregonian’s Rachel Bachman also wrote a piece on the requested cell phone records (including text messages, which were left out of the records at this point) from head coach Chip Kelly and running backs coach Gary Campbell, who were closely involved in Seastrunk’s recruitment.
And, according to the Register-Guard columnist George Schroeder, who posted on Twitter a few minutes ago, “First record from Oregon has dropped. Lot more on the way,” it sounds like this is just the tip of the iceberg today.
I’ll continue posting as things come up … stay tuned.
