— Lindsey Vander Weide lead Oregon volleyball to a weekend sweep of Washington and Washington State. On Monday, she was named the Pac-12’s offensive player of the week.
Vander Weide totaled 34 kills against the Huskies and Cougars. The sophomore won the honor for the second time in the last three weeks.
— Five-star recruit Troy Brown Jr. verbally committed to the Oregon men’s basketball program on Monday, further strengthening the Ducks’ 2017 recruiting class. Brown is considered to be a Top 20 recruit by most recruiting services.
— The Oregonian’s Andrew Nemec took a look at Oregon men’s basketball’s latest recruiting trends after Brown picked the Ducks.
— On Monday night, men’s basketball rolled to a 86-51 win in their lone open exhibition game before nonconference play begins. Chris Boucher led the Ducks with 25 points.
— Oregon soccer wrapped up its season Friday, losing 1-0 to Oregon State at Papé Field. The Ducks finished the season with an 8-10-2 record, including a 2-8-1 mark in Pac-12 play. The team tallied 26 goals, their highest total since the 2010 season.
— The Oregon men’s tennis team competed in the Easley Memorial Classic in Las Vegas over the weekend. Junior Simon Stevens reached the semifinals of the flight 1 singles bracket, while both of the Ducks doubles teams were knocked out in the quarterfinals.
— The Oregonian’s Andrew Greif and The Register-Guard’s Austin Meek both traveled to San Diego to cover the Tennessee Titans and Marcus Mariota following Oregon’s loss to USC on Saturday. Greif wrote about how Mariota is still looking for his breakthrough moment. Meek wrote about Mariota’s growing pains in the NFL.
