The Delta Sigma Phi fraternity will be holding its first annual car smashing today on East 13th Avenue near Johnson Hall to raise money for the SMART Reading Program.
The event, which lasts from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., will include a raffle with gift certificates for food at local businesses. One swing at a car costs $2 and includes a raffle ticket. Two swings costs $5.
According to a press release from Delta Sigma Phi, the fraternity raised $2,800 for the SMART Reading
Program last year in a different
philanthropy event.
