Accessories are key in Hollywood. Whether dripping with million-dollar Neil Lane jewelry or sporting the tiniest of dogs, the ladies of Hollywood know how to complete an outfit. But one accessory seems to always be popular, especially in the past couple of years: To many Hollywood starlets, having a baby on the hip completes all outfits.
Last weekend, another famous actress jumped aboard the baby bandwagon. After months of speculation about a possible engagement, pregnancy or both, E! News confirmed that “Alias” star Jennifer Garner and reported fiancé Ben Affleck have offspring due in November. The reps for these two have not breathed a word, however, so don’t go buying the baby booties quite yet.
But Hollywood definitely has its fair share of adorable babies and scorching hot mamas to go right along with them. Although Mother’s Day has come and gone, in tribute to mothers everywhere, here’s my list of the top five hottest celebrity moms:
Number one on my list is the
positively perfect Sarah Jessica Parker. Son James Wilke, born in October 2002, also has a famous
dad in Matthew Broderick. Parker makes number one because she’s talented, she’s private and well, she’s gorgeous!
Number two is also gorgeous, but in a more exotic and sexual way. The scandalous and seductive Angelina Jolie has incredible genes, and although son Maddox isn’t biologically hers, he’s unbelievably adorable. Check out pictures of the stunning mother-son duo in this month’s Vanity Fair, in which Jolie also discusses her relationship with Brad Pitt. Imagine if those two sizzling “lovebirds” had a child together: Hot damn!
Number three on my list of hottest celebrity moms has got to be
Kate Beckinsale, who gave birth
to daughter Lily in January 1999.
Although Kate’s choices in movies can be somewhat questionable, there is no doubt that Lily will grow up to be as fantastically beautiful as her mother.
Coming in at number four on my list would have to be Julianne Moore. She’s an amazingly talented actress and mother. Her son Caleb was born in December 1997 and daughter Liv was born in April 2002. Let’s just hope her children inherit her stunning scarlet locks.
Mary-Louise Parker rounds out my top five. Although she’s relatively lesser-known than the others, Parker, mother to son William who was born in January 2004, makes the list because of the incredible beauty she exuded both before, during and after her pregnancy. She has always been gorgeous — easily demonstrated in the heart-breaking “Fried Green Tomatoes” — but when boyfriend of seven years and father of her baby Billy Crudup left her for a younger woman (Claire Danes), Parker, seven months pregnant at the time, handled the breakup with grace and dignity. When she won a Golden Globe for her role in “Angels in America,” she humorously ended her acceptance speech with, “Janel Moloney (from “The West Wing”) just told me she would pay me $1,000 if I thanked my newborn son for my boobs looking so good in this dress.” And everyone had to admit, they sure did look amazing.
Honorable mentions go to: Catherine Zeta-Jones, Kate Winslet, Elizabeth Hurley and Heidi Klum. But other hot starlets have expressed their eagerness to join the baby boom, including Carmen Electra and Jennifer Lopez, so keep your eyes open for more hot moms to love in the years to come.
