The No. 4 Oregon acrobatics and tumbling team (3-3) has qualified for the National Championships, the National Acrobatics and Tumbling Association announced on Monday. The tournament, held at Fairmont State University in West Virginia, will be a three-round process running from Thursday, April 25 to Sunday, April 28.
The Ducks enter on the back of an important away victory over Azusa Pacific. After a Senior Night loss to No. 1 Baylor that left its record at 2-3, Oregon’s win in California ensured that it once again qualified for the championships. That win over the Cougars was Oregon’s first over a top-eight team of the season (its other two were over unranked Hawaii Pacific University), and served as some much-needed confidence ahead of the Ducks’ East Coast trip.
The Championships will stream live on ESPN+. Oregon’s first meet, against No. 5 Mary Hardin-Baylor on April 25, is scheduled for Thursday.
