Pharoah Brown was the only Pac-12 player included in Sporting News’ preseason All-American list. The junior tight end caught 25 passes for 420 yards and six touchdowns last year. In the tenth game of the season at Utah, however, Brown suffered a horrific leg injury, ending his season. Though the leg was almost amputated, he will try to play again this year.
Four days after winning NCAA championships, Oregon head coach Robert Johnson was named men’s and women’s outdoor coach of the year by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Association. Andy Powell received the assistant outdoor coach of the year honor.

Six Oregon baseball players and six of the Ducks’ high school recruits were selected in the 2015 MLB Draft. Kenny Jacoby projects who will sign with MLB teams and how the signings will affect the Ducks’ roster next year.
The Oregon State Senate passed a bill Tuesday officially honoring Marcus Mariota. Sen. Bill Hansen, R-Athena, sponsored the bill. The following night, Mick Jagger included Mariota in his performance during a Rolling Stones concert in Nashville, Tennessee.
