Fresh off of a sweep of the Arizona schools, No. 2 Oregon team travels to Seattle to take on No. 6 Washington tonight at 7 p.m.
In their first matchup earlier this year, the Ducks handed the then-No. 2 ranked Huskies their first loss of the 2012 campaign, defeating them 3-1 at Matthew Knight Arena.
In the match, Alaina Bergsma had an excellent effort notching 22 kills and outside hitter Liz Brenner contributed with 14 of her own.
Since the defeat, Washington has maintained playing a high level of volleyball and is currently ranked fifth in the Pac-12 with an overall record of 20-5, 11-5 in conference.
Jim Moore’s team is hoping to travel to Washington and sweep the season series with the Huskies and gain some momentum headed into postseason play.
On the horizon. After the battle with the Huskies, Oregon will continue on Pullman where they will match up against the Cougars of Washington State. Upon returning home from Washington, Alaina Bergsma and company will welcome the No. 5 ranked UCLA Bruins into Matthew Knight Arena for their last home game of the regular season.
